Complete Heat infrared, in full.

The infrared side is a full, unmodified Complete Heat installation: Nano-Carbon Crystal panels on the walls and floor pair with Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass Full Spectrum Heaters behind the backrest, delivering near, mid and far infrared with no cold spots. It performs identically to Vidalux's infrared-only saunas - nothing is reduced to make room for the stove.

A full traditional stove, not a token extra.

The traditional side is a genuine Finnish stove with a rock basket, so you can pour water over the stones for real löyly steam and the higher air heat a Finnish sauna is known for. It runs at full power, exactly as it would in a standalone traditional sauna. Having two full-power heating systems in one cabin, at full strength, is what sets the Hybrid apart from an infrared-only or a traditional-only sauna.

Desirability

A soft-touch digital control panel manages heat and timers for either mode. Bluetooth, FM radio or USB plays through twin stereo speakers built into the roof. Seven-colour chromotherapy starlights and wall uplights are set from the included remote - cycle through the colours or hold on one to suit the session.

Canadian hemlock, made to last.

The cabin is high-grade Canadian hemlock - non-allergenic, non-toxic, with little to no aroma - and treated during production to resist shrinkage for a longer working life than the standard grade. What's the point of having two heating systems, infrared and a traditional stove, in one cabin?

Infrared and traditional heat suit different moods, and different people want different things from a sauna. Full-spectrum infrared runs at a lower temperature, for longer, gentler sessions that suit a stress-relief or at-home recovery routine, using the near, mid and far wavelengths for deep, comfortable sweating, muscle relaxation and circulation support, often as part of a post-training wind-down or a general wellbeing habit. The traditional stove side is the opposite mood entirely: a higher-heat, shorter Finnish-style session with real löyly steam bursts from pouring water on the stones, for a more intense, invigorating experience that some owners find better suited to weekends or after a hard week.

Because each system in the Hybrid is a full, unreduced installation rather than a shared or scaled-back setup, neither mode is a compromise version of the other - infrared performs the same as it does in an infrared-only Vidalux sauna, and the stove performs the same as it does in a standalone traditional sauna. That's the actual point of the Hybrid: not a halfway house between two heat types, but full access to each one, used the way that suits the day. Many owners settle into a pattern without meaning to - gentler infrared sessions through the week, the more intense stove at the weekend - though there's no fixed rule for it, and plenty of owners simply pick whichever mode matches how they feel.

If you lean toward long, low-temperature sessions and deep tissue warmth, the infrared side is built for that - fast warm-up, full-spectrum coverage, and a session length that suits daily or near-daily use. If what you actually want is the intense, high-heat, gym-sauna feeling - short sessions, strong sweating, the ritual of löyly - that's what the stove side is for. The Hybrid doesn't ask you to decide between the two once at the point of purchase; it lets the mood decide, session by session.

Each mode is a wellness aid that fits a relaxation, recovery or stress-management routine - never a medical treatment, and never a substitute for professional care. Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, or who is pregnant, should check with their doctor before using either heating mode, or any sauna.

Ceramic Only Saunas

Ceramic heaters were the first generation of infrared sauna heating. They give strong heat at close range, but from a flat surface, and far infrared travels in a straight line, so the warmth lands mostly on whatever sits directly in front of the heater. That can suit concentrating heat on one area of the body. Across the cabin, though, it tends to feel harsh and uneven, with hot spots near the heater, cold spots further away, and far infrared only.

Carbon Only Saunas

Carbon panels came next. Their larger surface spreads a gentle, even long-wave warmth around the cabin, and because that heat is softer, many people find longer sessions comfortable. Where carbon-only cabins fall short is speed and close-range intensity. They are slow to warm up, they lack the direct heat a ceramic heater gives, and like ceramic they work in the far infrared band alone, so neither older design covers the full infrared range.

The Solution

Vidalux engineered Complete Heat to keep the strengths of each older design and lose the weaknesses, and it is the infrared system inside the Hybrid. There is no ceramic element in it. Nano-Carbon Crystal panels on the walls and floor give wide, even warmth with no cold spots.

Behind the backrest, Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass Full Spectrum Heaters add the close-range intensity carbon lacks. Each is coiled into a concave curve with surgical-grade stainless steel deflectors behind it, so the infrared reaches more of the body. Between them, the two heater types cover near, mid and far infrared, a range thought to offer a broader set of wellness benefits.

The Heaters

How do the two heating systems in the Hybrid actually work, and can you run them together?

No - and that's a deliberate safety and engineering decision, not a limitation. The Hybrid gives you a genuine choice of heat for each session, never run together.

The infrared side uses the same Complete Heat pairing as the rest of the Vidalux range. Nano-Carbon Crystal panels sit across the walls and floor, spreading far infrared evenly through the cabin so there are no cold zones and the warmth stays consistent wherever you sit. Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass Full Spectrum Heaters sit beneath the backrest, close to the larger muscle groups, adding the near and mid wavelengths the wall panels don't produce on their own. Together they give the cabin quick warm-up and even coverage without a compromise in either direction.

The traditional side is a separate, full-power Finnish stove with its own rock basket for löyly - pour water over the hot stones for a burst of steam and the higher air heat a Finnish sauna is built around. The stove's operating switches sit on the sleek control panel rather than on the stove unit itself, so you're not reaching into the heat to adjust it. Because the two systems are genuinely separate installations sharing one cabin rather than one system doing double duty, running the stove doesn't affect the infrared heaters, and vice versa - but for correct thermal behaviour and to protect each system, you choose one mode per session. You never run infrared and the stove together.

It's worth being specific about what "choice, not compromise" means in practice. The infrared system performs identically to an infrared-only Vidalux sauna - same heaters, same spectrum, same coverage - and the stove performs identically to a standalone traditional sauna - same stove type, same rock basket, same löyly. Neither has been scaled back to fit alongside the other. What changes is that you're choosing between two complete systems in the same cabin, session by session, rather than owning two separate cabins or committing to one heat type permanently. This is available across the whole Hybrid range - two-person, three-person and the 4-5 person bench model - so the same choice applies whichever size fits the room.

Assembly uses Vidalux's Click & Lock quick-build panel design, going together without tools, and the cabin needs a minimum ceiling height of 210cm.

Full Spectrum

Does the Hybrid's infrared side match the full spectrum of the other Vidalux saunas, or a reduced version to make room for the stove?

Yes, the same, in full. The infrared side of the Hybrid runs Vidalux's Complete Heat full-spectrum system - the identical configuration used in the Solara and Premier ranges - covering all three infrared wavelengths rather than the single FAR band most infrared saunas on the market rely on.

Near infrared, between roughly 0.75 and 1.5 microns, is the shortest wavelength and works closest to the surface - it's the layer that gets sweating started and works on the skin directly.

Mid infrared, between roughly 1.5 and 5.6 microns, reaches into the body's soft tissue, where it supports circulation and helps with muscle recovery and mobility.

Far infrared, between roughly 5.6 and 15 microns, is the longest wavelength and penetrates deepest, raising core temperature and driving the strongest sweating response of the three.

Most infrared saunas on the market cover only the far band, because it's the easiest and cheapest wavelength to produce. Vidalux includes all three as standard on every Complete Heat installation, including the Hybrid's infrared side - covering the full spectrum, rather than one slice of it, is thought to add a meaningful benefit over a FAR-only sauna, on top of whatever benefit FAR infrared delivers on its own.

None of this changes when the Hybrid is compared with an infrared-only Vidalux sauna. The engineering, the wavelength coverage and the heater placement are identical - the only difference is that this cabin also holds a second, completely separate heating system for when you want the traditional experience instead. That's worth being clear about, because it would be easy to assume a combination product quietly does less of each thing to fit two systems in - the Hybrid doesn't. Ceramic Only Saunas

First-generation ceramic heaters were powerful and emitted a lot of infrared heat, but due to the small service area, the wavelength tended to be shorter and only traveled in a straight line, therefore these are less therapeutic and less beneficial. This shorter spread of heat can be an effective way to focus more intensely on specific areas of the body that may need more ‘close up’ attention but these heaters often lead to saunas suffering cold spots at any distance away from the heater.

Carbon Only Saunas

On the other hand, developed to produce higher quality, long wave infrared heat, able to heat the body more intensely and penetrate deeper due to the surface area of the panels. Regular carbon heaters, although more beneficial to the user, their downfall was that they did not produce a lot of infrared heat and take a lot longer to warm up, although this lower heat makes them safer and users able to endure longer sessions and these panels can only produce FAR infrared.

Description

The Premier range was designed for people who want a self-build infrared sauna that performs as well as it looks. Its defining difference sits in front of you: heaters on the front panel, a layout no other Vidalux sauna uses. This two-person model pairs that layout with Vidalux Complete Heat full spectrum infrared, and a large glass front.

Built to be a feature

The cabin is made from specially selected, high-grade Canadian hemlock, a sustainably sourced timber with a fine, light tone that sits comfortably alongside most interiors. It is non-allergenic and non-toxic, with little to no wood aroma. During production the hemlock is treated to resist shrinkage far better than the more commonly used grade, which gives the cabin a longer working life.

The large glass front changes how the sauna feels to sit in. It is treated to keep the heat inside while letting the cabin lighting show through, so the Premier reads as a feature of the room rather than a closed wooden box. The glass is fully tempered and toughened, finished with a 60cm aluminium designer handle.

Everything runs from the digital control panel. Thermostatic heat settings and an automatic timer shape each session, and music plays over Bluetooth, FM radio or USB through twin digital stereo speakers set into the ceiling. Seven-colour chromotherapy starlights and soft uplights behind the wall panels set the mood: let the colours cycle on their own, or hold a single colour from the hand remote.

Two more touches finish the interior: a cool white reading light in the roof, and a "Return to Nature" forest ioniser.

The detail that sets the Premier apart is where the heat comes from. As well as the walls and floor, heaters sit on the front panel, directly in front of the user. Few home saunas are built this way, and it gives more even coverage than wall and floor heat alone. A dial sets the heater output from 20% to 100%, so you choose how strongly the sauna runs in a session.

The design carries through to the outside of the cabin, where a recess in the outer body picks up the colour of the starlights inside.

Living with it is straightforward. The cabin measures D 1030mm x W 1180mm x H 1950mm, draws 2350 watts, with an overload protection circuit built in. Click & Lock panels mean it assembles in under 30 minutes, guided by the full installation and user manual in the box.

Vidalux retired the old ceramic heater altogether and replaced it with Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass Full Spectrum Heaters, coiled in a concave shape with surgical-grade stainless steel deflectors behind them, so the heat reaches more of the body instead of travelling in a single line. Nano-Carbon Crystal panels then add the wide, even warmth that fills the rest of the cabin.

What full spectrum means

Full spectrum means covering the whole infrared range: near, mid and far wavelengths. Most infrared saunas on the market are FAR-only, so they work with just one of the three.

Every model in the Premier range carries Complete Heat, with Ruby Quartz Full Spectrum Heaters producing all three wavelengths as standard. Near and mid infrared working alongside far is what gives full spectrum heat its broader range of wellness benefits compared with a FAR-only cabin, and it is why Vidalux builds it in rather than selling it as an upgrade.

Near infrared - 0.75 to 1.5 microns. The shortest wavelength, absorbed just below the surface of the skin, and the one that gets a sweat started.

Placed close to the user and the large muscle groups, these quartz-embedded heaters begin warming the moment they are switched on and deliver near, mid and far infrared with a high-emissivity output. Ceramic Only Saunas

First-generation ceramic heaters were powerful and emitted a lot of infrared heat, but due to the small service area, the wavelength tended to be shorter and only travelled in a straight line, therefore these are less therapeutic and less beneficial. This shorter spread of heat can be an effective way to focus more intensely on specific areas of the body that may need more ‘close up’ attention but these heaters often lead to saunas suffering cold spots at any distance away from the heater.

Carbon Only Saunas

On the other hand, developed to produce higher quality, long wave infrared heat, able to heat the body more intensely and penetrate deeper due to the surface area of the panels. Regular carbon heaters, although more beneficial to the user, their downfall was that they did not produce a lot of infrared heat and take longer to warm up, although this lower heat makes them safer and users able to endure longer sessions and these panels can only produce FAR infrared.

Full Spectrum

Full-spectrum is a reference to the entire coverage of the infrared spectrum:  near-infrared, mid-infrared and far-infrared wavelengths. A lot of infrared saunas on the market today cover only one of these ranges, the ‘FAR Infrared sauna’. Vidalux WB89 Deluxe 1400 x 1400 Corner Whirlpool & Airspa Bath

What Deluxe adds

A whirlpool keeps the water moving, and moving water cools faster than a still bath. The WB89 Deluxe deals with that directly. It takes the 1400 x 1400mm corner whirlpool bath and adds an inline water heater, Ozone sterilisation and a Bluetooth speaker system, with every function run from one backlit touch-screen control panel.

Those four features are what separate it from the non-Deluxe WB89.

Warm water, held for longer

The inline heater keeps the bath at your chosen temperature through a long session, so there is no topping up halfway through. It is there to hold the warmth of the water you run in, not to replace your hot supply: fill from the hot tap as normal, set the temperature, and the heater keeps it there while the whirlpool and Airspa run.

Two massage systems, one panel

Eight whirlpool jets, driven by a 1HP pump, give a deep, water-led massage. Back massage jets work along your back while your head rests on one of the two fitted pillows.

Separately, eight Airspa jets set into the base of the bath have their own 0.25HP air pump and send up a softer stream of fine bubbles. You can run the Airspa on its own or alongside the whirlpool.

From the touch-screen panel you choose the massage strength, from a gentle drift up to a firmer, sports-style setting, and the ratio of air to water coming through the jets. More water gives a deeper massage; more air keeps it brisk but less intense. Warm, moving water supports relaxation and helps ease muscle tension, so it suits unwinding at the end of the day.

Fresh pipework and your own soundtrack

Ozone sterilisation, with a self-cleaning assist, helps keep the pipework free from bacteria and stale smells between baths.

The same panel controls the Bluetooth connection and speaker settings, so your playlist or a broadcast plays through the bath's built-in speakers. An underwater LED light colours the water, changing through seven shades.

One rule for the water itself: use non-foaming products only. Bubble bath, oils and salts can damage the pump and clog the pipework.

Room for two, tucked into a corner

The corner shape sits into the angle of the room and leaves space for two people to bathe together. The tub holds 273 litres and stands 580mm high, finished with a 5mm glass front, chrome-finish jets and controls, and a glossy surface that wipes clean easily.

Built to last, ready to plumb

The acrylic shell is reinforced with resin and fibreglass, which helps it resist everyday wear, stains and light surface scratches. It sits on a stainless steel support frame with height-adjustable feet for levelling on an uneven floor.

Mixer taps and a handheld shower are built in, and the waste is included. The bath works at 1.5 to 3 bar; a gravity-fed supply will need a pump.

The WB89 Deluxe carries a 3-year warranty upon registration, and Vidalux keeps supplying spares after the warranty ends.

UNIVERSAL FITTING - The back wall that carries the control panel, body jets and shower valve can be built on either side of the door, so the same cabin fits a left-hand or a right-hand corner. For a rectangular 1200 x 900mm space, that settles which way round the shower has to sit before you even order it.

The Fusion Steam 1200 is the Fusion with steam built in. Its sibling, the Fusion Hydro, is a water-only cabin with no steam generator at all. This model adds a FastStart 2.8kW generator, so one footprint gives you an everyday shower in the morning and a steam session in the evening.

Step inside and a colour-changing LED spotlight lights the cabin from overhead. Then choose how you shower. The Fusion steam shower cabin uses enough black to make a statement without taking over the room. The back panel, the ceiling and the base of the tray are all finished in Midnight Black, and the Fusion is only made in black. Built for the family bathroom

Good looks only count if the build lasts, and a family shower can run several times a day, every day of the year. The Fusion starts from the ground up. The tray is reinforced and sits on a steel frame, with adjustable feet that keep it level and secure on a floor that isn't. It follows Vidalux's Leak Free design: water is held by compression seals, and in the unlikely event any gets past them, return channels in the tray direct it back into the cabin.

Simple to install and look after

If you can put together a piece of flat-pack furniture, you can assemble the Fusion, and full installation guides come with it. You can skip the tiling, too. The cabin keeps water off your walls, so existing tiles only need one last clean, and you avoid the mould, cracked grout and leaks that come with a tiled shower. Once the cabin is in, the ozone sterilisation system cleans it after you shower with little effort on your part.

Steam, sound and light

Day to day, the Fusion is an easy cabin to live with. The Hi-Flo monsoon rain shower handles the main wash, and the chrome hand shower on its fixed holder takes care of everything from rinsing the cabin to quick cleaning jobs. This is more than a shower, though. Six multi-spray massage jets sit on the back wall, and a FastStart 2.8kW steam generator feeds the aromatherapy outlet for scented steam.

Colour-changing chromotherapy lighting sets the mood, and Bluetooth or FM radio plays through the built-in speaker system. Description

The 4-5 Person Hybrid Bench Sauna is the largest cabin in the Vidalux Hybrid range, and it holds two complete ways to heat it. One is Vidalux’s Complete Heat full spectrum infrared. The other is a 6kW traditional Finnish stove loaded with 15kg of sauna stones. You choose one for each session: gentle infrared on a weekday evening, or the stove and a ladle of water when you want proper Finnish heat.

Inside, two benches line the walls, roughly 1700mm along the back wall and 1400mm on the shorter side. Those are common bath lengths, long enough to lie back with your knees raised, and with everyone sitting up there is room for four or five. The cabin measures 1500mm deep, 1800mm wide and 2000mm high, which makes it a home sauna for a whole household rather than a single seat.

Hemlock, Glass And Light

The cabin is high-grade Canadian hemlock, a sustainably sourced timber with a fine, light tone that sits comfortably in most rooms. It is non-allergenic and non-toxic, and it carries little to no wood aroma.

During production the hemlock is treated to resist shrinkage, which gives it a longer working life than the commonly used grade. The walls are double-skinned with a cavity between them, and the panels interlock fully, so the whole cabin clicks together.

The front is a large sheet of toughened safety glass with a 60cm aluminium handle. It is treated to keep the heat inside while letting the cabin lighting show through, so with the lights on the sauna becomes a feature of the room instead of a closed box in the corner.

A soft-touch digital control panel runs the cabin. Thermostatic heat settings and an automatic timer shape each session, and music plays over Bluetooth, FM radio or USB through twin stereo speakers in the ceiling. Seven-colour chromotherapy starlights and soft uplights behind the wall panels are set from the hand remote: leave them cycling through the colours, or hold one shade for the whole session.

Why Choose A Hybrid

Infrared and traditional heat suit different sessions, and in a cabin this size they often suit different people in the same household. Infrared mode runs at lower air temperatures for longer, gentler sessions that fit winding down after work or a recovery routine after exercise. The stove is the opposite: shorter, hotter rounds with bursts of steam from water on the stones, the intense heat people know from a gym or spa sauna. Each is complete in its own right, so neither mode is a cut-down version of the other.

A sauna is a wellness habit, not a medical treatment. Anyone with a cardiovascular condition, or who is pregnant, should check with their doctor before using any sauna.

Ceramic Only Saunas

The earliest infrared cabins used ceramic elements. Up close they are powerful, but their heat is harsh and uneven, and because far infrared travels in straight lines, anyone sitting away from the element gets much less of it. On a long bench that means a hot seat by the heater and a cool one at the far end. Ceramic heaters also stop at the far infrared band.

Carbon Only Saunas

Carbon panels improved on that. Their larger surface spreads a gentle, even warmth across the cabin that is comfortable enough for long sessions. Their weak points are a slow warm-up and little punch at close range, and like ceramic they produce far infrared alone. Neither design reaches the near and mid wavelengths.

The Solution

Complete Heat is Vidalux’s answer, engineered to keep what each older design does well and drop what it does badly. There is no ceramic element anywhere in it. Nano-Carbon Crystal panels on the walls and floor spread far infrared evenly, so the warmth reaches every seat on the benches with no cold spots.

Carbon Fibre Ruby Quartz Glass Full Spectrum Heaters behind the backrest supply the close-range strength that carbon panels lack, and they add near and mid infrared to the far. Full spectrum heating like this is often sold as a paid upgrade on other saunas. On every Complete Heat cabin, this Hybrid included, it comes as standard.

The Heaters

Every heater in this cabin was engineered by Vidalux for its own saunas. The infrared side uses three: Nano-Carbon Crystal panels on the walls, a Nano-Carbon Crystal foot heater in the floor, and Ruby Quartz Full Spectrum Heaters behind the backrest. The stove is a separate heat source with its own controls on the same panel.

These long-life panels are far-infrared dominant and cover a wide area. On the walls they wrap the benches in a steady warmth, and in the floor the foot heater sits under an extra-strength grill. Between them, the wall and floor panels keep the cabin free of cold spots while holding running costs down.

These sit beneath the curved backrest, close to the large muscle groups. They begin heating straight away and produce near, mid and far infrared. Each heater is coiled into a concave curve with surgical-grade stainless steel deflectors behind it: far infrared travels in straight lines, and the curve sends more of it towards the body instead of past it.

Vidalux Traditional Sauna Stove

In stove mode the infrared heaters stay off and the 6kW stove does the work. Its 15kg of stones sit in a rock basket, so you can pour small amounts of water over them for bursts of löyly steam. Water on the stones does not harm the infrared heaters, but keep oils off the stones, as they can catch light against the hot elements.

The stove has a stainless steel outer casing and no controls on the unit itself. Everything is set from the control panel, so nobody has to reach towards hot stones to change a setting. A water bucket, ladle, sandglass and hygro-thermometer come with the sauna.

Full Spectrum

Full spectrum means the whole infrared range: near, mid and far. Many infrared saunas produce far infrared only, usually to keep costs down. Complete Heat covers all three, and full spectrum infrared is thought to offer a broader range of wellness benefits than far infrared on its own.

Nothing on the infrared side of this Hybrid is scaled back to make room for the stove. The panels, the Ruby Quartz Full Spectrum Heaters and the wavelength coverage match an infrared-only Vidalux sauna, so choosing a hybrid costs nothing in infrared performance.

Near Infrared - between 0.75 and 1.5 microns. The shortest wavelength, absorbed just below the surface of the skin, where it starts the sweat early in a session.

Mid Infrared - between 1.5 and 5.6 microns. It reaches further, into the body’s soft tissue, and is thought to support circulation and muscle recovery.

Far Infrared - between 5.6 and 15 microns. The longest wavelength and the deepest-reaching of the three, it is the band that raises core temperature.

Ceramic Only Saunas

First-generation ceramic heaters were powerful and emitted a lot of infrared heat, but due to the small service area, the wavelength tended to be shorter and only traveled in a straight line, therefore these are less therapeutic and less beneficial. This shorter spread of heat can be an effective way to focus more intensely on specific areas of the body that may need more ‘close up’ attention but these heaters often lead to saunas suffering cold spots at any distance away from the heater.

Carbon Only Saunas

On the other hand, developed to produce higher quality, long wave infrared heat, able to heat the body more intensely and penetrate deeper due to the surface area of the panels. Full Spectrum

Full-spectrum is a reference to the entire coverage of the infrared spectrum:  near-infrared, mid-infrared and far-infrared wavelengths. A lot of infrared saunas on the market today cover only one of these ranges, the ‘FAR Infrared sauna. These inferior saunas completely bypass the numerous health benefits of the remaining two ranges just to save cost.

All the models in our range incorporate our revolutionary ‘Complete Heat Technology’ Full Spectrum heaters producing near, mid and far-infrared waves. REQUIRES HARD-WIRING – this means the sauna heater is connected directly into the building’s electrical system by a qualified electrician, rather than plugging into a standard wall socket. This is required for higher-powered sauna heaters because they need a dedicated electrical circuit to safely handle the load.
